Your webpage is out of date. Are you looking back to your mission statement on a regular basis to ensure your on track? What are your goals for 2006, 5 years from now, 10 years from now. Does this council really have an impact if not what are they doing about it????

The SHCC secretary updates the wiki--especially the home page--when the prior month's minutes are done, usually about two weeks before the next SHCC meeting.

We've consistently adhered to our mission statement, to wit:

"to involve citizens in identifying

  1. issues,
  2. plans, and
  3. projects

that enhance the

  1. beauty,
  2. safety,
  3. vibrancy, and
  4. human-scale character

of Sugar House

  1. neighborhoods,
  2. businesses, and
  3. historical and natural resources"

We don't have goals for 2006 because we don't have time nor budget. We are a citizens' advisory board; not a governing body. We don't create our own plans. We have an impact with our input to the planning commission and the city council.
