SUGAR HOUSE STREETCAR

The Sugar House business district is undergoing a transformation and at the heart of the redevelopment is the Sugar House Streetcar.  Construction is ongoing for the streetcar and it is scheduled to be up and running by December 2013.  Currently the line will terminate at McClelland St and Sugarmont Ave.  However, discussions are undergoing about the preferred alignment for future extensions to the streetcar.  

The Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City has been directing studies related to the streetcar that affect every aspect of how we get around within the Sugar House business district.  Read the circulation plan (currently in draft form) to learn about the recommendations for monument plaza, pedestrian crossings, preferred trail alignments, traffic calming measures and amenities.
