Support the SHCC!

The Sugar House Community Council needs your support! We have many exciting projects currently underway, including a new, updated, easy-to-use website, holiday lights in partnership with the Sugar House Chamber, and many others that keep Sugar House an awesome place to live, work, and play.

There are expenses associated with all of these projects, so we need your help. Please consider contributing to the Sugar House Community Council, and help us keep Sugar House one of the best places to live in Salt Lake!

Location of the Next SHCC Meeting

Our meetings are currently held on ZOOM.  Sign up for our newsletter to get the login information for our next months meeting.   Remember that these are open meetings and everyone is welcome!

The mission of the SHCC is to involve citizens in identifying issues, plans and projects that enhance the beauty, safety, vibrancy, and human-scale character of Sugar House neighborhoods, business, and historical and natural resources. The council sponsors, supports and provides a voice on such issues to governing bodies, public and private service agencies, the community at large and any other organization or individuals that may directly affect the vitality of the Sugar House area and its residents.

The SHCC is entirely run by volunteers who live, work, or own property within our boundaries. Our membership is broken up into designated neighborhoods and the number of trustees is determined by population numbers taken from each census to be proportional. We have active committees that are open to all residents to participate in for a variety of issues (Land Use & Zoning, Parks, Open Space and Trails, Transportation, Historic Signs, Arts & Culture).

If you want to keep on top of what is happening in our community from developments to fun events sign up for our monthly email newsletter. This is the best way to stay informed and participate. You will get a monthly newsletter filled with timely information and the upcoming agenda.

The SHCC is also a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and you can find our Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws on the website.
